This school had an existing kitchen that was insufficient for their needs and as a result it meant that they were having to import school meals daily to cope with demand.
An extension proposal to house a commercial kitchen was agree by the local authority and so we worked hand in hand with the building contractor to design and install a complete commercial catering kitchen with ventilation system.
Because no gas was available on site all the cooking equipment is electric. It includes two Rational SCC combi ovens that are truly fantastic pieces of equipment. The refrigeration equipment is Gram and the food prep Chefquip.
Because we had plenty of space to work with we had the luxury of providing lots of preparation surfaces and importantly a large dedicated dishwash area (complete with Hobart pass thru’ machine).
