Mobile Kitchen

A local business in the heart of Sheffield contacted us in the latter part of 2012 to discuss the idea of a ‘venue marquee’ that could provide catering facilities on a commercial scale. The brief given was that a portable cabin was to be provided with a non-slip floor and white rock walls as per the typical commercial kitchen specification. Our instruction was to design and install a kitchen to fit the portable cabin including supplying all the necessary services required. On top of this we were asked to source as much reconditioned equipment as possible to help limit the total spend. In turn the portable cabin would effectively ‘bolt on’ to the marquee area so that functions such a weddings could be catered for.

Attached is a series of photographs showing the chronological stages of our ‘mobile kitchen’ installation. The electric feed to the cabin is a 63amp 3phase supply and the gas is LPG. The kitchen has an S&S gas interlock system, a new Hobart ware washing machine, a new hot cupboard bains marie with heated gantry and several items of reconditioned equipment throughout
