Home Decor – Staff Canteen Servery and Food Preparation.

South Yorkshire Company Home Décor approached Fox Catering asking for a commercial catering canteen design & install to coincide with their business relocation. JF Finnegan Building Contractors supplied an allocated space for us to use as a ‘blank canvas’ for our design.

With a mixed staff of over one hundred employees it was important that the canteen could cater for varied appetites and clientele. However most importantly of all the company wanted the canteen to be the heart of their new premises and also to be something they were proud of.

On the recommendation of Fox Catering, P&A Food Management were brought on board to manage the new kitchen after install and also to provide design input at the embryonic stages.

An initial design was soon submitted to the client that typically underwent the minor alterations anticipated. Crucially a decision was taken by all concerned that the food service counter would have a corian top as opposed to traditional stainless steel. On reflection this was a very good decision as the striking aesthetic of the counter is noted by all. The counter has an extended tray slide with raised pyramid tray supports. The front has laminate panelling and stainless steel kick plinths.

In the kitchen itself we have supplied light duty Lincat prime cooking equipment alongside a Convotherm mini combination oven. The ware washing is Hobart and the ventilation system by Fox Catering. The flooring that can be seen on the pictures is a wood effect non slip altro and the walls are altro white rock.

Fox Catering is granted open access to this site for any future potential customers to visit. Such visits favourably include sampling the food on offer supplied by P&A Food Management.
