The hospital wanted to convert a very dated and poorly used catering facility into a fashionable café with associated modern kitchen. The objective was to attract patients, staff and visitors into what they would perceive as an ultra modern café bar serving a variety of freshly cooked foods and drinks.
The ‘dark chocolate’ colour scheme selected by the customer was processed into the servery counter to create a stunning visual finish. Due to the site ergonomics we were able to manufacture and install the servery counter in one 4000mm section. The advantage of this meant that the whole stainless steel top was one single piece and therefore the necessity for any jointing was removed.
The kitchen incorporates efficient energy saving equipment including lincat stacked convection ovens, gram refrigeration and hobart warewashing. The ventilation system has an aquajet fire suppression.
